The Padua Figure Skating team will look to defend their state title this weekend at the annual state competition at Thornton Park in Shaker Hts.  The competition involves individual and team performances on Saturday and Sunday, against a number of schools and individuals from all over Ohio.

The Bruins are looking to become the first team to win 4 state competitions in a row.  Seniors Angela Graham, Courtney Kriausky, Andrew Spagnola and Janelle Spagnola look to finish their figure skating career at Padua with 4 state titles.  Other team members include junior Kara Buher, sophomores Alexis Keltner, Jessica Monaghan, Laura Senkar, Callie Sua, freshmen Mary Claire Casper, Alyssa Sabol and middle school team members Chloe Amoroso, Elyse Andel, Samantha Milano, Erica Marquardt and Xavia McGhee.

Padua will again be one of the teams to beat this weekend.  The Bruins have won 6 of the past 8 state competitions (’08, ’10, ’11, ’13, ’14, ’15) while being the runner up the other two years (’09, ’12).  Best of luck to our figure skating team this weekend!

Go Bruins!!!
