Boys Soccer vs Firelands

The Boys Soccer team scored 4 goals in the final 16 minutes of regulation to pull off an amazing comeback victory to win the Sectional championship.  Padua fell behind #2 seeded Firelands 4-1 midway through the 2nd half.  The Bruins were awarded a penalty kick with 16 minutes left, which Colin Thein converted to cut the deficit to 4-2.  Then, Kevin Leigh scored on two kicks from distance to tie the game with just over 2 minutes remaining.  As the regulation was winding down, Kevin Leigh crossed the ball into the box and Nick Motsis scored the game winner with 30 seconds left in regulation.  The Bruins advance to the District semi-final on Wednesday night at Rocky River.
