Wisniewski Throws Shutout As Padua Defeats Holy Name

Kyle Wisniewski didn’t allow a single run as Padua Franciscan defeated Holy Name 1-0 on Monday in the District Semi-Final. Wisniewski allowed just four hits and got Holy Name to hit into a fielder’s choice to end the game. Padua took an early lead in the second inning.  Tommy Whitely’s sac fly scored one run for the Bruins. Wisniewski earned the win for Padua as he pitched seven innings, surrendering zero runs, four hits, striking out six, and walking zero. The Bruins will return to the District Final for the 3rd Year in a Row and will Defend their Title against Firelands High School.  First Pitch will be at 5:00 pm at Tri-C West Campus.
