Padua Jumps Out To Early Lead In Victory Over Firelands; Claims 14th District Championship in Program History

Padua jumped out to an early lead over Firelands and took home an 11-1 victory on Tuesday to defend their District Championship.  The Bruins scored on a walk by Alex Ludwick, a single by Justin Beckwith, an error, and a single by Henry Neuman in the first inning.  Alex Ludwick drove in a run when he walked with the bases loaded. Tommy Whitely earned the win for Padua as he went five innings, giving up one run, five hits, and striking out two. Padua collected nine hits in the District Final. Henry Neuman, Justin Beckwith, and Bogi Kazimoureach collected multiple hits for Padua.  Neuman and Beckwith each drove in two runs to lead Padua to victory. They will wait to see who they will face in the Division II Regional Semi Final on Thursday May 25th at Bowling Green with a 5:00 pm first pitch.
