Girls finish 8th and Boys finish 23rd in Final Tuneup before NCL’s

On Saturday, the Bruin cross country teams competed at The Legends Invitational. The boys team finished 23rd in a field of 55 teams while the girls team finished 8th in a field of 53 teams.

The boys team was led by Junior Matthew Bildstein, who finished 22nd in a time of 17:17. Junior Robbie Wilson was next across the line, finishing 127th in a time of 18:54. Freshman Cam Spacht (146th, 19:03) Sophomore Peter Heinzerling (180th, 19:28) and Junior Dominic Roschival (189th, 19:38) rounded out the scoring for the Bruins.

The girls team was led by Senior Ashlynn Uzl, who finished 33rd in a time of 20:27. Senior Kristen Seballos was next across the line, finishing in 35th place in a time of 20:44. Junior Katie Byram (53rd, 21:13) Senior Megan Casselberry (65th, 21:31) and Sophomore Emmalee Clark (107th, 22:19) rounded out the scoring for the Bruins.

The cross country teams will be competing at the North Coast League Championship, hosted by N.D.C.L, this Saturday.
