Boys Varsity Wrestling · State Wrestling Recap Day 2 & 3; LoFaso becomes State Placer in Weigh Class

Both Jimmy Balazy and Sam LoFaso were able to make it to the 2nd Day of the OHSAA State Tournament to represent Padua.  Jimmy fought hard but fell on the 2nd Day in his Weight Class.  He finishes the year with an overall record of 47-8 NCL League Champion, Sectional Champion, District runner up and top 12 in the State for his Weight Class.

Sam was able to go 1-1 on Day 2 and advance to Day 3 and see what place he would be stepping on to the Podium for the 145 Weight Class. Sadly, Sam was not able to pull out the victory for 7th Place but Sam truly left everything on the Mat yesterday afternoon.  He finishes the 8th Best Wrestler in Division II at the 145 Weight Class.  This does end the season for the Padua Wrestling Team but both Jimmy and Sam will be back next year and they plan to make a bigger impact for the Padua Wrestling Team with their success at States this year.
