Clear skies and cool temperatures greeted the boys and girls cross country teams on Saturday as they competed at the Tiffin Carnival. The girls team finished in 11th place and the boys team finished in 31st place.
Leading the way for the girls was Sophomore Brenna Heinzerling who finished in 25th place with a time of 21:38. Senior Emmalee Clark was next across the line, finishing in a time of 22:42 which was good for 51st place. Senior Katie Krayzel was close behind, finishing in 60th place with a time of 22:58. Senior Maria Rich (105th, 23:51) and Sophomore Brittain Bosela (108th, 23:57) rounded out the scoring for the Bruins.
On the boy’s side, Senior Chris Zimerla once again led the way for the Bruins. Chris finished in 54th place, with a time of 17:18. Senior Peter Heinzerling was the next finisher for the Bruins, running a time of 18:03 which was good for 117th. Senior Brian Kovacs (200th, 18:55) Sophomore Owen Janos (222nd, 19:18) and Sophomore Zach Bomgardner (241st, 19:39) rounded out the scoring for the Bruins.
