The Boys and Girls Indoor Track Teams ran in the NEOITC All-Star Track Meet last night against some very tough competition from 30 other schools. Congratulations to all who qualified finishing in the top 24 of that event!
On the Girls side, Elizabeth Clemente finished 5th in the high jump clearing 5′-00″ and Katie Krayzel was not too far behind clearing 4′ 10″ for 7th place. Chloe Amoroso finished 3rd in the long jump with a leap of 17′ 0.50″. The 4x200m relay team of Katie, Elizabeth, Maria Dosen, and Maddie Drlik finished 8th with a time of 1:52.65. The 4x400m relay team of Chloe, Elizabeth, Katie, and Maria finished 6th with a time of 4:15.78.
On the Boys side, Chris Vance finished 5th in the shot put with a throw of 43′ 01″. Cameron Rogers finished 7th in the shot with a throw of 42′ 06.5″ and 6th in the weight throw with a throw of 39′ 01″. The 4x400M relay team of Lukas Bewley, Marcus Harrell, Brian Kovacs, and Peter Heinzerling finished 12th setting a new school record with a time of 3:46.05. The 4x800M relay team of Brian, Peter, Matt Harley, and Chris Zimerla finished 10th setting a new record with a time of 8:57.45.
Again congratulations to all who qualified and the team looks to wrap up their regular season this coming week at Independence and Oberlin, and see who we can qualify for the Indoor State Track Meet on March 7th.
