Multiple Teams · Nine Seniors Commit to College Athletics


Padua Franciscan High School Through its Athletic Department announced on Monday May 15th of Nine Seniors Committing to College Athletics.  The Nine Seniors are:

  • Chloe will be attending Bowling Green State University in the Fall.  She plans to study Digital Art. Some of Chloe’s Accomplishments over the past four years are below:
    • Figure Skating
      • Captain (Junior & Senior Year)
      • Two – Time State Competition Champions
      • School Record for Most Career Points
    • Track and Field (Indoor and Outdoor)
      • Individual School Record holder for both outdoor and indoor in Long Jump and Triple Jump.
      • NCL record holder for Long Jump.
      • Member of 4x100m relay school record team.
      • 2020-State Champion in Triple Jump-Indoor-All-Ohio
      • 1st individual female state champion in school history
      • 2020-State Runner-up in Long Jump-Indoor-All-Ohio 2020-state qualifier as part of the 4×200 and 4×400 meter relay teams
      • 2019 NCL Champion in Long Jump, 4×100 and 4×400 relays
      • 2019 District Champion in Long Jump and District Runner-up in the 4x100m and 4x400m relays
      • 2019 Regional Qualifier in Long Jump (8th place) and 4x100m (6th place) and 4x400m relay teams
      • 2019 Indoor State Meet Qualifier in Triple Jump, finishing in 8th place-All-Ohio; and 4x200m relay team, also finishing in 8th place-All-Ohio
      • 2018 NCL Honorable Mention
      • 2018 Districts 3rd place in Long Jump
      • 2018 Regionals 8th place in Long Jump
      • 2017 NCL Honorable Mention
  • Chloe’s Most Memorable Experience at Padua was the Senior Retreat and Junior Ring Dance.

 

  • Elizabeth or better known as “Biddy” will be attending John Carroll University in the Fall.  She plans to study Computer Science. Some of Biddy’s Accomplishments over the past four years are below:
    • Track and Field
      • School Record Holder for
        • 300 Meter Hurdles
        • 4×100
        • High Jump Relay
      • High Jump District Champion (2019)
      • Three – Time Indoor State Qualifier (2018-2020)
      • Two – Time Outdoor State Qualifier (2018-2019)
      • NCL Champion for:
        • 4×100
        • 4×400
        • 300 Meter Hurdles
  • Biddy’s Most Memorable Experience at Padua was the 2019 NCL (North Coast League) Track and Field Meet as she set the School Record for the 300 Meter Hurdles.  During this Event, Biddy broke the record in the Preliminaries on Tuesday and Advanced to the Finals to not only win the Event but also break her record from Tuesday.

 

  • Colleen will be attending Bowdoin in the Fall.  She plans to study Government and Legal Studies. She was a Varsity Athlete at Padua Franciscan High School in three sports of Cross-Country, Track & Field, and Girls Soccer while playing Rugby. Her Most Memorable Experience is Getting stuck behind a train on the way to a cross country meet for two hours.

  • Jacob will be attending Hiram College in the Fall. He plans to study Computer Programming. Some of Jacob’s Accomplishments over the past four years are below:
    • Baseball
      • Three Year Varsity Baseball Letter Winner
      • Pitcher of the Year (2019)
  • Jacob’s most memorable experience at Padua was the Florida spring break trip during his sophomore year. It was his first year on varsity and turned out to be really fun.

 

  • Gianna will be attending Tiffin University in the Fall. She plans to study Forensic Psychology.  Some of Gianna’s Accomplishments over the past four years are below:
    • OHSAA DII District All Tournament Team (2017-2018)
    • Greater Cleveland Interscholastic Bowling League – 2nd Team All Star (2019-2020)
    • Greater Cleveland Interscholastic Bowling League – 2nd Team All Star (2018-2019)
    • NCL 1st Team (2019-2020)
    • Greater Cleveland Interscholastic Bowling League – Most Games in 4yr Career Award
  • Gianna’s most memorable experience at Padua was when she got to prepare for Olympic Day Lip Syncs every year. They were always so much fun to be a part of.

 

  • Madison will be attending Mount Union in the Fall and she plans to study Psychology. Some of Madison’s Accomplishments over the past four years are below:
    • Basketball
      • Captain (2019-2020)
      • NCL Defensive MVP (2019-2020)
      • NCL 1st Team (2019-2020)
      • NCL 2nd Team (2017-2018)

  • Madison’s most memorable moment at Padua was when Biddy and Maddie surprised her on her birthday at track practice during junior year and running at Indoor States.

 

  • Amanda will be attending Buffalo State College in the Fall. She plans to study Graphic Design.  Some of Amanda’s Accomplishments over the past four years are below:
    • Hockey
      • Playing Tier I AAA Hockey (Sophomore –Senior Year)
      • 2017 Rock ‘N’ Roll Cup Finalists
      • 2017 LCMGHL Finalists
  • Amanda’s most memorable moment at Padua was her Senior Retreat and being around her friends everyday.

  • Devan will be attending Ursuline College in the Fall and will be Studying Biology. Some of Devan’s Accomplishments over the past four years are below:
    • Tennis
      • NCL 2nd Team (Junior and Senior Year)
    • Softball 
      • NCL 1st Team (2017-2019)
      • Two – Time Offensive Player of the Year
      • Two – Time MVP
  • Devan’s most memorable moment was getting to create many friendships with her teammates and classmates.

 

  • Jonathan will be attending West Liberty University in the Fall and will be studying Accounting.  Jonathan was three year letter winner for Baseball and also named to the NCL 1st team in his Junior Year. His most memorable moment was the Spring Trips to Florida and Myrtle Beach.
