The Girls Basketball team defeated previously undefeated Keystone 57-42 last night. With the victory, the Bruins improve to 10-7 on the season and the Wildcats fall to 17-1.
Padua fell behind in the first quarter due to turnovers and hot shooting by Keystone who made 5 three point field goals in the quarter. The Bruins chipped away at the deficit in the second quarter and took a 25-24 lead into halftime. The defense for Padua picked up in the second half with a number of steals and deflections by the Bruins which led to layups and easy baskets. Also, Padua responded to each of Keystone's runs in the second half and cruised to victory in the fourth quarter.
