The Girls Basketball team defeated Avon 68-41 in their season opener on Tuesday night.
The Bruins were led by Sophia Spade with 18 points, including 5 three pointers, 4 assists and 3 steals. The following players also contributed to the victory:
- Izzy Lapp - 11 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 1 block
- Avery Maslar - 11 points with 3 three pointers, 3 steals
- Ella Figliano - 10 points, 3 rebounds
- Ally Tonsing - 6 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals and 4 blocks
- Annabelle Shuman - 8 points with 2 three points, 1 rebound and 1 steal
- Darlene Jaidah - 4 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists
Padua returns to action on Saturday when they take on Copley in the Cleveland Basketball Classic at Baldwin Wallace University.
