The Figure Skating team competed in the Ohio High School Team Figure Skating Championships last weekend in Shaker Heights and finished in 2nd place overall.  With the State Runner-up finish, the Skating team has finished first or second in 16 of the last 17 state competitions.  

The Bruins had a smaller team this season, in part due to some injuries, but the skaters performed really well throughout the weekend with a number of skaters earning multiple gold medals in their events.  The group performance of Frozen was a huge success too, earning 2nd place of 10 teams in the Production Ensemble event.  

Addalyn Schmidt led the team with 21 points including two first place finishes and a second place finish.  Ava Schmidt also won two events and finished second in another event for 18 points. Natalie Demarest scored 17 points with three first place finishes and Isabella Higgins added 15 points with two first finishes in their respective events. Ella Ruminski, Lindsey Yarberry and Devyn Osso also added some second and third place finishes in their events to help the Bruins earn 2nd place overall along with the Olentangy schools team.
