The Boys Basketball team grinded out a win against Gilmour on Wednesday 47-46 to advance to the OHSAA District Championship game on Saturday, where Padua will try to win their first district title since 2005.
The Bruins trailed 27-23 at halftime but responded in the third quarter to take the lead and held on in the fourth quarter for the victory.
Riley Cervenka and
Gio Roman led the Bruins with 13 points each.
Conner Williams added 8 points plus 6 rebounds and 3 steals to give the Bruins momentum in the third quarter.
Padua will look for their third district title in school history on Saturday when they take on Bedford at Strongsville at 7pm. Tickets will be available on the OHSAA website soon.
