The Boys Basketball team lost to Garfield Heights 64-41 on Tuesday night in the OHSAA Regional Semi-Finals, which was their first Regional appearance in 20 years and third in school history.
The Bruins trailed from the start but cut the deficit to single digits in the second and third quarters. Unfortunately, the Bulldogs clamped down on defense and extended the lead to close out the third quarter and cruised to the victory.
Riley Cervenka led the Bruins with 21 points, giving him 1,437 career points which is 2nd most in school history and only 31 points behind the career mark set by Tyler Ptacek in 2013.
The Bruins had the 2nd most victories in a season in school history with 19 wins, equaling the wins by the '79-'80 and '81-'82 teams.
Congrats to the Bruins on a great season! Thank you to our seniors on their great careers and impact on the Boys Basketball program!
