Padua Franciscan High School hosted the North Coast Conference Track & Field Championships on Wednesday and the Girls team had a strong showing with a 2nd place finish just behind conference champ CVCA. The Boys team finished in 5th place but had a few strong individual performances as well.
The Girls team started strong in the Field events and continued their strong performances on the Track. The Girls had the following top 3 performances:
- Jenna Manson - 2nd place in Discus and Shot Put
- Audrey Butler - 1st place in High Jump and 3rd place in Long Jump
- Eva Stearns - 1st place in Pole Vault
- Allie Krayzel - 1st place in 800m, 2nd place in 1600m, 3rd place in High Jump
- Darlene Jaidah - 1st place in 200m, 2nd place in 100m
- Kendall Holter - 2nd place in Pole Vault
- Girls 4x100 relay (Smilla Cohagan, Valerie Harris, Butler, Jaidah) - 3rd place
- Girls 4x200 relay (Sophia Yonan, Harris, Nina Srbinoski, Olivia Frazier) - 3rd place
- Girls 4x400 relay (Cohagan, Yonan, Jaidah, Krayzel) - 3rd place
The Boys had some strong performances on the track and in the field events as well. Here's the top 3 finishes for the Boys team:
- Roderick Love - 1st place in 100m
- Alex Franceschi - 2nd place in High Jump
- Landon Hanover - 1st place in Pole Vault
- Cyrus Czerwinski - 2nd place in Pole Vault
- Boys 4x200 relay (Czerwinski, Dylan Tippie, Isaiah Pullar, Love) - 3rd place
The Bruins return to action on Saturday when they compete in the All-Catholic meet at NDCL.
