The Football team defeated Sandusky 47-13 on Friday to earn their first victory of the season.
Brady Devore returned a kickoff midway through the second quarter after the Blue Streaks tied the game to give the Bruins the lead which they never relinquished. The Bruins defense created two turnovers and shutdown the Sandusky offense and the Padua offense added four more touchdowns to get the win.
Devore led the way with 248 combined yards and 3 touchdowns in the game, including the 81 yard kickoff return for a TD plus 7 receptions for 122 yards with 2 TD receptions.
Landon Hanover added 1 touchdown run and 2 touchdown passes to Devore.
Chase Weizer and
Justyn Gillispie each had over 50 yards rushing and 1 touchdown with
Caleb Zolkowski adding 2 field goals.
The Bruins return to action next Friday when they host Elyria Catholic to kickoff North Coast Conference play.
