Volleyball wins first NCL match of season

The Lady Bruins opened NCL Blue Division play tonight with a 28-26, 25-20 and 25-16 victory over Beaumont in Padua’s gym.  Padua improves to 3-0 on the season.  Senior Katie Stansbury lead the team with 20 kills and 17 digs.  Sophomore Courtney Morris added 31 assists and 9 digs.  Senior Jackie Hartman had 4 blocks

Boys Golf wins again

The Padua Boys Golf team improved their dual match record to 8-0 today, defeating VASJ by a score of 158-179.  Low scorers for the Bruins were sophomore Ben Jones with a 37 and senior Jimmy Szpak with a 38.  The Boys Golf team will participate in the Walsh Tradition tournament on Saturday.

Volleyball defeats Brecksville

The Lady Bruin Volleyball took their #2 state ranking into their match at Brecksville last night and defeated the Lady Bees, 25-20, 25-22, 25-12.  The victory raised their record to 2-0 on the season.  The JV and Freshmen teams also won their matches. Girls Soccer falls to Walsh

The Lady Bruin soccer team took on the Lady Warriors from Walsh Jesuit last night at Padua Stadium, with Walsh winning 10-1.  The Lady Bruins are now 1-2 on the season.  They take on Valley Forge on Saturday night at Padua stadium.  JV kickoff at 5pm with Varsity to follow at 7pm.

Tough night for the Bruin soccer team

The Varsity Boys Soccer team traveled to Medina last night and came home with an 8-0 loss to the Bees.  The Bruins dropped to 0-3-1 on the season.  They travel to Benedictine on Saturday to take on the Bengals.  JV kickoff at 11am with Varsity to follow at 1pm.

Girls Soccer earns first win of the season

The Lady Bruins soccer team defeated Normandy tonight by a score of 7-1.  Senior Emily Giel and sophomore Elena Rauhe scored three goals each with sophomore Kayla Jancewicz finishing out the scoring with one goal. The girls take on Walsh on Tues, Sept 2nd at Padua Stadium with JV’s at 5pm and Varsity at 7pm.

Girls Cross Country team wins Early Bird Invitational

In what has become commonplace over the past 5 years, the Bruins toed the line at the Avon Lake Early Bird Invite in very hot conditions. The Bruins stepped up their game and came away with a 40-point victory over conference rival Beaumont in the Gold Division race. Senior Co-Captain Jaimie Adams led the way

Boys Cross Country team earns top 10 finish

On a hot morning, the Bruins toed the line at the 37th annual Avon Lake Early Bird Invitational. The Bruins finished in 8th place in the 19-team field.  Senior Captain Danny Fleming led the way for the Bruins as he finished in 18th place in a time of 18:50. Sophomore Jack Schaeffer was next across

Padua defeats Brush

The Padua football team started their 2014 campaign with a 21-14 win at Brush tonight. The Bruins will take play at home next Friday against Brunswick.
