Hockey suffers defeat to St. Ignatius to end season

The Padua Bruins Hockey Team lost on Tuesday Night to #1 seeded St. Ignatius 7-2 in the Division I Brooklyn Ice Hockey District Semi-Finals. With this loss, the Bruins finished the season 12-18-4 and were Sectional Champs for the Brooklyn District and also won the Walsh Jesuit MLK Classic Tournament to round out the year.

Boys Basketball defeats Firelands 51-50, will play Vermillion on Saturday

Senior Michael Miranda went 7/10 in the 4th Quarter from the free throw line to seal the victory for the Bruins as they defeated Firelands 51-50 in the Division II North Ridgeville District. Lady Bruins defeat Holy Name to advance to District Final

On Monday night, the Lady Bruins advanced to the District Final for the first time since 2004. Behind 23 points from Sophomore Elena Rauhe and Senior Savannah Heckelmoser with 16 points, they led the Lady Bruins to a victory over Cross-Town Rival Holy Name 51-45.  The Lady Bruins will face the Lady Rockets on Thursday

Sectional Wrestling Review

The Padua Hockey Team defeated Cross-Town Rival Holy Name 6-2 to become Sectional Champions of the Brooklyn District and will await the winner of the St.Ignatius/Midview game. Girls Basketball defeats Brooklyn in OHSAA tourney opener
