The Indoor Track & Field teams competed at Spire in their first Northeast Ohio Indoor Track meet on Friday. Both the Boys & Girls teams finished in second place with some new school records and top 3 finishes!
For the Girls, a new school record was set by Allie Krayzel in the 800m run with a time of 2:28.20 which earned her 1st place in the event! Also coming in first place was Audrey Butler (high jump), Eva Stearns (pole vault) and Jenna Manson (weight throw and shot put). Second place honors went to Krayzel (high jump) and as part of the 4x400m relay team with Olivia Frazier, Smilla Cohagan, and Samantha Ezzie. Kayla Vance was also second in the weight throw.
For the boys, Rod Love set new school records in both the 60m and 200m dashes with times of 6.97 and 23.38 respectively; plus Alex Franceschi set records in both the high jump (6' 0") and long jump (19' 3.5")! Love won the 60m dash and finished in 3rd place in the 200m dash. Also coming in 2nd place were Owen Nance (800m run), Zion Mealing (weight throw) and Franceschi in the high jump plus as part of the 4x400m relay team with Nance, Logan Russell, and Isaiah Pullar. Third place finishers were Franceschi (long jump) and Landon Hanover (pole vault).
