The Gymnastics team competed at X-Treme Gymnastics on Friday night and defeated the reigning state champion Brecksville-Broadview Hts and host Berea-Midpark. The Bruins won with a score of 136.15 with Brecksville coming in 2nd place with 134.65 points and Berea-Midpark in 3rd place with 134.45 points. The team also earned the highest points in three individual events: Uneven Bars, Balance Beam and Floor Exercise.
Tessa Brousek led the way finishing in 2nd in the All-Around competition, winning the Vault and Floor Exercise events.
Mariana Bryan finished in 4th place in the All-Around competition with a 2nd place finish on the Balance Beam and 3rd place finish on the Vault.
Alexiah Bryan finished in 6th place in the All-Around with top five finishes in the following individual events: Floor Exercise (2nd), Uneven Bars (3rd) and Balance Beam (5th).
Julia Malcuit also finished 10th in the All-Around competition with strong field of gymnasts.
