Girls Soccer wins OHSAA tourney opener!

Padua defeats Willoughby South to advance to District tourney

The Girls Soccer team defeated Willoughby South 1-0 on Thursday night in the opening round of the OHSAA tournament.  

The Bruins scored early in the first half as Ally Tonsing scored off the pass from Kayla Brandon.  Padua had more chances throughout the game but the defense held strong to maintain the shutout and the victory.  Olivia Morgan earned the shutout in goal with 4 saves.  

Padua advances to the OHSAA District tournament next week and travels to Gilmour Academy on Tuesday to take on the Lancers.
