The Hockey team defeated St. Charles 3-1 on Sunday to win the Padua Holiday Hockey tournament! The Bruins won the East Division with victories over Olentangy Berlin and Findlay on Saturday to advance to the championship game and won the tournament for the first time since 2006.
The Bruins took a 2-1 lead in the first period on goals from
Adam Coyne and
Jacob Rihvalsky. Josh Kustra kept the Bruins in front with 38 saves in goal and
Nick Badza sealed the victory with an empty net goal in the final minute to win the tournament title!
Padua returns to action after Christmas when they compete in the Brother James Memorial tournament at Gilmour Academy next weekend.
