The Softball team swept a doubleheader with North Royalton, defeating the Bears 6-3 in 11 innings and 8-4 on Saturday. With the victories, the Bruins get back to .500 with an 11-11 record on the season.
Annabelle Shuman led the Bruins in the first game with 4 hits, 2 RBI's plus pitched 6 innings allowing just 2 runs with 3 strikeouts. Alex Camarati had 3 hits and pitched 5 innings to earn the victory and get her 200th career strikeout for Padua which is the most in program history. Kate Minchak helped the offense with 3 hits and 3 runs scored.
In the second game, McKenzie Diemert led the way with 3 hits, 3 RBI's and 2 runs scored. Claire Mooney added a hit with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI's, plus Samantha Ezzie had 2 hits, 2 runs scored and 2 RBI's.
The Bruins return to action on Monday when they take on Avon Lake for Senior Day.
