The North Coast Conference Championship Meet proved to be a record setting day for the girls cross country team. Sophomore Allison Krayzel emerged victorious and led the girls team to a second place finish. Krayzel covered the 5k course in a time of 19:46, winning the conference championship by 10 seconds and setting a new course record in the process. Freshman Briley Poplyk continued her stellar season by finishing in 6th place and earning first team all-conference honors, running a time of 29:49. Senior Valerie Harris (20th, 23:16) and Freshman Samantha So (21st, 23:19) earned honorable mention all-conference honors. Sophomore Amanda Ocilka (27th, 24:20) rounded out the scoring for the Bruins. The Bruins will continue their season at the District Cross Country Championship Meet on Saturday, October 19th.
