The Baseball team earned two huge wins on Saturday defeating Toledo St. Francis DeSales and Amherst Steele to improve to 9-6 on the season.
GAME ONE: Padua 9, St. Francis DeSales 5
Makhi Williams led the way for the Bruins with 3 hits, 1 run scored and 2 RBI's.Â
Brandon Tillman earned the victory on the mound with
Luke Higgins closing out the game with 2 scoreless innings. The following players also contributed to the victory:
GAME TWO: Padua 3, Amherst Steele 2 in 9 innings
The Bruins tied the game in the top of the 7th inning on a
Spencer Siedlecki RBI double and scored the game winner in the top of the 9th inning on a
Max Lewis RBI single.Â
Chase Martin and
Makhi Williams combined for 17 strikeouts on the mound allowing zero earned runs for the victory. Â
Padua returns to action on Monday when they take on Elyria Catholic.Â
