On Saturday morning, the Bruins traveled to Vermilion for the Vermilion Cross Country Invitational. The Bruins would finish the day in 2nd place, recording a total of 68 points. Sophomore Allie Krayzel led the way for the Bruins, running a time of 19:43 and winning her first ever high school cross country race. Freshman Briley Poplyk was next across the line for the Bruins, running a time of 21:05 and recording a 2nd place finish. Senior Val Harris (18th, 22:56), Sophomore Gretchen Jordan (22nd, 23:20) and Sophomore Kaylee Egnaczyk (28th, 23:38) rounded out the scoring for the Bruins.Â
