The Softball team defeated Westlake 16-4 in their season opener on Wednesday.  The game was tied 3-3 going into the top of the third inning when the Bruins broke open the game with 6 runs and added 7 more runs in the next two innings to close out the victory. 

Padua was led by Marissa Noll who had 3 hits, 5 RBI's and 1 run scored.  The following players also contributed to the Bruins victory

• Brae Boguski - 2 hits, 1 run, 2 RBI's
• Alex Camarati - 5 innings pitched, 3 ER, 3 K's, plus 2 hits
• Maya Stavnicky - 2 hits, 2 runs, 1 RBI
• Aleiyha Aponte - 2 hits, 3 runs, 3 RBI's

The Bruins return to action on Thursday when they travel to Maginificat to take on the Blue Streaks.
