The Baseball team defeated Lake Catholic 3-1 on Senior Day to improve to 14-7 on the season. The Bruins scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to regain their lead and earn the Senior Day victory.
Padua had key contributions from their seniors throughout the game.
Logan Schnell had an RBI single in the first inning to score
Lucas Palange to give the Bruins an early 1-0 lead.
Nathan Krayzel made his season debut and pitched 3 scoreless innings allowing no hits with 4 strikeouts. After Lake Catholic tied the game in the top of the sixth inning, the Bruins responded in the bottom half of the inning. After

Owen Turner walked and
Riley Ziemba singled to load the bases for the top of the order.
Makhi Williams hit into a fielder's choice to give the Bruins the lead then Palange had another single to drive in an insurance run heading into the seventh inning. Williams closed out the game with a one, two, three inning including 2 strikeouts.
The Bruins return to action on Friday when they take on St. Ignatius at Talty Field at Brookside Reservation.
